There seemed no better bar you’d have wanted to go to in the late 80s than Flanagan’s Cocktails and Dreams. From the light blue and pink neon, pregnant women in a smoky bar way too late at night, and listening to poems that no one likes, we’re grabbing some liquor bottles and tossing them around to mix up our review of the 1988 Tom Cruise classic, Cocktail. On this episode, Dave and Rob will be joined by James, the host of a great movie podcast called Bad Movies Rule, to go over all the ways that Tom Cruise is the greatest movie bartender of all time. So grab a daiquiri or a Sex on the Beach and let’s head back to 1988, where apparently TGI Fridays was the greatest after hours bar for New York yuppies as we take a look at the movie Cocktail.
